Anti-Money Laundering & Know Your Customer Policy

Effective Date: 20.11.2025 | Last Updated: 27.09.2026

1. Purpose

MARKETRONIX LTD ("Ratify") is committed to preventing its platform from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime. This policy describes the measures we take and rely on to that end.

2. What We Actually Do

Ratify is a small credit-based platform that builds web applications on demand. We do not operate an in-house compliance department or a dedicated transaction-monitoring system. Instead:

  • Registration is refused outright where the request comes from a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction. The check runs when the account is created, before any payment, using three signals: the country our hosting provider resolves from the connecting IP address (a server-side signal, not something a browser can set), the email address domain, and the phone number prefix where one is given. The jurisdictions are listed in §5
  • All card payments are processed by a licensed, regulated payment service provider, which performs its own fraud, sanctions, and AML screening on every transaction before funds ever reach us
  • We rely on that processor to decline, flag, or hold transactions that trip its fraud and sanctions controls
  • Beyond the country block at sign-up, we screen accounts against the payment processor's decision at the point of payment rather than maintaining a separate internal sanctions list
  • We cooperate fully with our payment processor and, where legally required, with law enforcement or regulators investigating a specific transaction or account

3. Customer Identification

We do not currently require a separate identity-verification (KYC) step to create a Ratify account or buy credits — identity and payment-instrument verification for card transactions is handled by our payment processor as part of standard card authorization (including 3D Secure where a card issuer requires it). This is separate from the jurisdiction check in §2, which does run at sign-up and can refuse the registration before an account exists. If we introduce our own identity-verification requirements, this section will describe what is collected, when, and why.

Engineers who apply to work for us as experts are identified: each must upload a government ID (passport, national ID card or driving licence) with the application, and staff check it before approving anyone we will pay. The document is kept in private storage for as long as the expert account exists, and deleted if the application is declined; see the Expert Terms and our Privacy Policy.

4. Red Flags and Account Action

Where our payment processor flags a transaction, or where we otherwise notice activity that looks like fraud, account takeover, or an attempt to launder funds through credit purchases, we may hold the transaction, request further information, or restrict the account while we look into it. This is separate from — and does not restrict — your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer at any time; see our Payment Policy.

5. Sanctions

We do not knowingly provide services to individuals or entities on applicable UN, EU, UK, or US (OFAC) sanctions lists. Two controls apply. First, registration is refused where the request originates in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction — currently Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba — and that refusal happens at sign-up, before any payment. Second, sanctions screening for card transactions is performed by our payment processor as part of standard payment processing. We may also refuse or close an account where a sanctions restriction applies, as set out in our Terms & Conditions §1.2.

6. Record Keeping

We retain transaction records for as long as required by applicable law and our payment processor's own retention obligations, and no longer than necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Reporting Suspicious Activity

If you believe your account, or another account, is being used for money laundering, fraud, or any other financial crime, please tell us right away at support@ratify.studio. Where the law requires it, we will report suspicious activity to the appropriate authority and will not tell the subject of a report that one has been filed.

8. Policy Changes

We will update this policy as our business, and the controls we actually operate, evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
