Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They help us provide you with a better experience by remembering your preferences, keeping your session and your projects attached to your account, and enabling certain features.
2. How We Use Cookies
Ratify uses cookies to:
- Keep you signed in to your account
- Remember the currency you chose to see prices in
- Hold a brief you started before signing up, so it survives the trip through sign-up
- Remember your cookie choice, so we stop asking
- Measure which pages and features are used, with PostHog, only if you press Accept
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Set by the sign-in system when you sign in, and needed for the site to work. They cannot be switched off.
__Secure-authjs.session-token: keeps you signed in. Up to 30 days, renewed while you use the site, and removed when you sign out.__Host-authjs.csrf-token: protects the sign-in form against forged requests. Until you close the browser.__Secure-authjs.callback-url: the page to return to after signing in. Until you close the browser.
Functional storage
Kept in your browser's local storage and not sent to us. They stay until you clear your browser storage.
ratify-currency: the currency you picked in the header.pendingProject: a brief you began before signing in, cleared as soon as it is loaded into the order form.cookie-consent: your answer to the cookie banner.
Analytics cookies (optional)
Set only after you press Accept in the cookie banner or switch analytics on under “Manage cookies”. Until then PostHog is not loaded at all. We use them to see which pages are visited, what is clicked and where people get stuck, so we can improve Ratify. We do not record your screen and we do not use them for advertising.
ph_<project>_posthog(cookie, with a copy in local storage): a random identifier that ties your visits together, and your account if you are signed in. Up to 1 year.ph_ident(local storage): notes which signed-in account analytics is linked to, so it is not sent twice. Removed when you sign out or decline.
4. Third-Party Cookies
No advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies are used, and no other website sets cookies through Ratify. Our hosting provider serves the site but sets no cookies in your browser.
The one outside service involved is PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States), our analytics provider. Its cookie is set on our own domain, but the usage data it collects (pages visited, clicks and the random identifier) is sent to and stored by PostHog in the United States on our behalf, as our processor, and only if you accept analytics. Change your choice here at any time; the footer's Manage cookies link opens the same panel.

6. Cookie Retention
- Session Cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent Cookies: Remain for the duration specified above
- Analytics cookies: Up to 1 year. If you decline or withdraw consent, analytics stops straight away and the link to your account is removed from your browser.
You can delete all cookies at any time through your browser settings.
7. Do Not Track
We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings. When DNT is enabled we do not load analytics, even if you pressed Accept. Essential cookies remain active so the site works.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Check the “Last updated” date for the latest version. Material changes are announced with a banner on the site.
